Fancy Stripes, a design that catches your attention (guide in pdf)I saw a horse in pixabay whose design caught my attention at once and I thought how it could be done in Gimp.

Issabella Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.
Thanks for the tutorial, Issa
![]() Made my own interpretation of it ![]() Also made my own striped background in Gimp. It's not difficult. I love your result and more because you are so skillful to create your bend design.

Thank you, Issa
![]() What I meant by making my own black and transparent striped pattern in Gimp was this. First open a transparent background (you can choose the size.) Then go to filters > render > pattern > grid. First uncheck the horizontal and vertical lines. Fill in the width of your choice. If you like to have the stripes the same width, the spacing must be double, for instance 10 = 20, 25 = 50, 40 = 80 and so on. The offset should be 0. Now you can make your stripes large, thick or small at your tasting. The twirl I made in G'mic as you suggested. You devised a method just by looking at the picture in Pixabay. I will try it as soon as I can.
Ella, yours is also very nice. You also have the talent to figure out another way to do something and get the same effect. Great job by both of you. Thanks Ella. I like how you did the grid.
Pat, Thank you very much for your nice comment. ![]() Issabella Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want. GIMP goes global for OMG on hols ... I tried Issa's method with a glass Koala of course... used Gimp>distorts>blinds then GMIC to make the pattern. Thanks Issabella for the tut.

Thank you so much OMG. I love your glassy koala. You open the door to many more creations in all kind of effects. Have you come back home? Did you have a happy journey?
